1. General provisions

1.1.This Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the psy.one website (the “Site”) uses, why and for how long they are stored, and how to manage them.

1.2.This Policy supplements the Privacy Policy (psy.one/privacy) and applies together with it. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page.

2. What cookies are

2.1.A cookie is a small piece of data that the Site stores in a visitor’s browser and that the browser sends back to the Site with subsequent requests.

2.2.A similar technology used by the Site is the browser’s local storage (localStorage): a small record that stays on the device and is not sent to the server.

3. Which cookies the Site uses

3.1.The Site uses strictly necessary cookies — without them, signing in to the personal account and protection against request forgery do not work. Yandex Metrica analytics cookies are set only with the visitor’s consent (clause 3.5). There are no advertising cookies on the Site.

3.2.List:

  • authjs.session-token — the session: keeps the user signed in to the personal account. Stored for up to 30 days from the last visit; deleted on signing out;
  • authjs.csrf-token — protects the sign-in form against request forgery. Deleted when the browser is closed;
  • authjs.callback-url — the page the user returns to after signing in. Deleted when the browser is closed;
  • authjs.state and authjs.pkce.code_verifier — protect signing in with Yandex ID. Stored for up to 15 minutes while signing in;
  • psy-vkid-flow and psy-vkid-pending — protect signing in with VK ID. Stored for up to 10 minutes and up to 1 hour respectively while signing in;
  • psy-signup — the name, age confirmation and consent mark entered during registration, until the user follows the link in the email. Stored for up to 24 hours and deleted once registration is complete.

3.3.Over a secure connection, the names of these cookies begin with the prefix __Secure- or __Host-. Session cookies are not accessible to scripts on the page (the HttpOnly attribute) and are sent over HTTPS only.

3.4.Local storage: psy-cookie — the visitor’s choice in the cookie notice (“Accept” or “Necessary only”), so that they are not asked again. Stored until the browser data is cleared.

3.5.Analytics cookies — only if the visitor has clicked “Accept” in the cookie notice. The Site uses Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC, Russian Federation) to understand which pages and articles are read, where visitors come from and how the Site is performing. Metrica sets cookies whose names begin with _ym (for example, _ym_uid and _ym_d), stored for up to 1 year. Session recording (Webvisor) is switched off. The Operator sees Metrica data only in aggregate form — as visit statistics, not linked to user accounts.

4. Cookies and personal data

4.1.The session cookie is linked to the user’s account and therefore counts as personal data. It is processed to operate the personal account on the basis of the Terms of Use and the consent to the processing of personal data given at registration.

4.2.The other cookies in clause 3.2 contain no information that could identify a person, except for the registration cookie, which temporarily stores the name entered.

4.3.The Site does not use cookies to track visitors on other websites, build interest profiles or show advertising.

4.4.Yandex Metrica cookies contain a random browser identifier. They are processed on the basis of the visitor’s consent (clause 6.1).

5. Third-party services

5.1.The Site’s pages do not load advertising pixels or third-party widgets. The Yandex Metrica counter is loaded only with the visitor’s consent (clause 3.5). The Yandex SmartCaptcha script is loaded when the user starts filling in the sign-in, registration, booking or subscription form, and protects the form against automated submissions. Cookies set by Yandex in the process are governed by Yandex’s documents. Fonts and images are loaded from the servers of the Site and its storage in the Russian Federation.

5.2.When signing in with Yandex ID or VK ID, the user goes to the Yandex or VK website. Cookies those companies set on their own websites are governed by their documents.

5.3.No cross-border transfer of data takes place by means of cookies: Yandex Metrica and Yandex SmartCaptcha process data in the Russian Federation.

6. Consent to analytics cookies

6.1.The visitor consents to analytics cookies by clicking “Accept” in the cookie notice. Clicking “Necessary only” means refusal, in which case Yandex Metrica is not loaded.

6.2.The choice can be changed or consent withdrawn at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. On withdrawal, Metrica cookies are deleted from the browser and the counter stops working.

6.3.If the Operator decides to introduce advertising technologies, it will update this Policy and the Privacy Policy in advance, and such cookies will be set only with the visitor’s separate consent.

7. How to manage cookies

7.1.The choice between all cookies and necessary cookies only can be changed using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. In addition, visitors can view, delete or block cookies in their browser settings. How to do this depends on the browser and is described in its help pages.

7.2.If the Site’s cookies are blocked, the journal can still be read, but signing in to the personal account, comments and registration will not work.

7.3.Signing out deletes the session cookie. Deleting the account also deletes its sessions on the server.

8. Changes to this Policy

8.1.The Operator may amend this Policy when the law or the operation of the Site changes. A new version takes effect when it is published on the Site, unless it states otherwise.

9. Contacts

9.1.Questions about the use of cookies and the processing of personal data may be sent to psy@psy.one or raised by phone on +7 991 239-11-98.
