Community
A community that vouches for every member
PSY.one brings together practising psychologists. They write the journal’s articles and review each other’s work, and we check their qualifications — so not everyone who calls themselves a psychologist can join.
Our story
How it began
Twenty-one psychology master’s students at HSE University in Moscow — we were still studying back then. During the COVID-19 pandemic we offered free counselling, first of all to doctors and to people affected by the pandemic.
More than one approach
Our members work mainly in psychological counselling, business psychology and psychoanalysis.
A journal for everyone
Today PSY.one is a popular psychology journal. The community is open to verified, highly qualified specialists in different methods of psychological support.
How the community works
Specialist
Their education, practice and supervision have been verified. They write articles, review their colleagues’ work and answer readers.
Author
Once their first article has passed peer review and gone live, it appears on their page and they become one of the journal’s authors.
Expert
A status for their contribution to the journal and the community, granted after a personal interview with the editor-in-chief. Experts are listed in the journal’s catalogue and can see clients through PSY.one.
Before publication, every article is read by reviewers — practising specialists from the community.
Who can join
We are not a directory open to anyone. Our qualification and ethics requirements are set out in the community guidelines, and we take them seriously.
- A university degree in psychology: bachelor’s, specialist or master’s from an accredited university
- Training in their own method, practice and supervision — confirmed once a year
- Evidence-based methods: no esoterics, no “constellations”, no promises of results in three sessions
- Ethics: working within their competence, confidentiality, no dual relationships with clients
